Franchisees & Licensees
The Teddy Tennis franchisees programme is designed for business people who want to set up and run a Teddy Tennis operation in their own locality. Teddy Tennis would provide the training, the equipment, and programme and marketing support. The franchisee would deliver the program at local crèches, pre schools, nurseries, playgrounds, town & village halls and even at tennis clubs. A franchisee would be encouraged to recruit Teddy Tennis Trainers and Assistant Teddy Tennis Trainers so as to allow them to deliver a comprehensive Teddy Tennis programme in their local area.
To run a Teddy Tennis franchise you need to be fully Teddy Tennis trained. Teddy Tennis training involves the following:

- Completing a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure
- Completing UK Coaches Certificate Level 1 in Tennis (3 day assistant tennis trainers course)
- Attended an LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) three-hour Child Protection workshop
- Completing a First Aid course
- Assisted in a minimum of 24 hours of Teddy Tennis training with a qualified Teddy Tennis Trainer
At this stage (Summer 2008) we are looking for one more pilot franchisee in the UK. If this sounds interesting then please contact us at info@teddytennis.com or call 0845 643 1173
Teddy Tennis at Sports and Leisure Clubs
Teddy Tennis is looking for sports and leisure clubs as well as ‘hands’ on business people who would like to bring the Teddy Tennis programme to market.
The Licensee Program is designed for sports and leisure centres. Teddy Tennis can provide an annual license programme that would enable the delivery of the entire Teddy Tennis experience, in house.
Teddy Tennis offers a wide range of benefits to clubs and leisure centres. These include:
- Addresses a niche market with a unique program offering
- Provides a revenue generating activity to be run in off-peak periods i.e. term time mid morning and early afternoons as Cub Cadets are generally only at school for half a day at this age
- Gets mums into leisure centres to pursue other activities
- Parents are happy and are keen to pay for more Teddy Tennis lessons
- Enhances the leisure centres family program
- Teddy Tennis always generates ‘word of mouth’ referrals encouraging new members to join
- Encourages repeat business
- Does not require tennis courts
- The documented structured approach enables the programme to be run in organisations that have high staff turnover
- Provides additional revenue generating opportunities through sale of Teddy Tennis merchandise
If this sounds interesting then please contact us at info@teddytennis.com or call 0845 643 1173
