“‘I believe that making a session as fun and interesting as possible allows the children to apply themselves more to taking as much from the lesson as they can”
As a local to Hampstead and having played tennis since the age of 6, Luke is particularly passionate about making tennis engaging for young children in the area. He strives to make sessions enjoyable as well as educational so that every child feels inspired to progress their skills.
Over the last few years Luke has been developing and improving mini tennis programmes at Islington Tennis Centre, whilst being actively involved with over 15 major events nationally. Some highlights have included the Great British Tennis Weekend, which invites families and young people to try tennis for the first time, as well as ‘Tennis Tuesdays’ where intermediate players are able to advance their existing knowledge.
He has also gained many achievements assisting the Team GB 2016 Paralympic tennis event at New Palace Yard, Westminster as well as an LTA Schools Roadshow which welcomed over 1000 Children from 14 different schools.
