Hello! I am so excited you have chosen to get involved with Teddy Tennis Baton Rouge! As we embark on this journey together, I’d like for you all to get to know me better! I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up in a tennis-loving family! After playing on the junior tennis circuit for many years, I decided to focus my time on volleyball! After playing at the collegiate level for 4 years, I recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from Millsaps College. After seeing my sister’s success with Teddy Tennis Kingwood-Houston (Head Ted Sarah Waggoner), together we decided Teddy Tennis Baton Rouge was a must! We both have a passion for working with children and understand the need for them to fall in love with a sport before being asked to compete in it. Teddy Tennis is the answer! I look forward to working with your children and doing my best to see them progress in both skills and enjoyment of the game.
Hi! I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and after moving from state to state several times I winded up back in Baton Rouge and have been living here for the past 8 years. I am currently a junior at Louisiana State University and I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with the hopes of soon becoming an elementary school teacher. I have always had a love for working with children and seeing them learn. I’m extremely excited to be teaching Teddy Tennis and hope to see the children develop a love for tennis.
Hey! My name is Hailey Maldonado and I’m a Junior Poli Sci major at LSU! I’m from a super small town and was the only person from my graduating class to come to LSU! It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made and I’ve loved everything Baton Rouge has to offer! Being the oldest of 9, I naturally love children and look forward to seeing their faces light up as they learn new skills throughout this year!
Hi! I am thrilled to be a coach for Teddy Tennis! My hometown is Hammond, Louisiana. I am currently a Junior at Louisiana State University majoring in Child and Family Studies and minoring in Psychology. I plan on attending graduate school to become a licensed professional counselor. I love working with kids in an athletic environment, being that I was involved in several sports in high school. I am so excited to watch the children learn and progress throughout this fun program!
Hi! I am from Shreveport, Louisiana and I am a Junior at LSU and my major is English with a concentration in Secondary Education. I plan on furthering my education in English by attending grad school after I graduate. Being that I am going to be a teacher one day, I have a huge heart for children and I absolutely love watching them progress in their learning! I am beyond thrilled to be coaching for Teddy Tennis and I cannot wait to see the kids progress in their learning of tennis and, ultimately, watch them have fun!
Hello! My name is Madeline Roth, and I am a Senior studying Finance at LSU. I’m from a large family in Thibodaux, Louisiana so working with young children is something that I have always loved. I grew up with a love and enthusiasm for tennis and eventually followed my older brothers’ footsteps by playing in high school, and my little brother is now in the works to follow mine. I hope that with this incredible program I can help your children find that same joy that my family has experienced. Watching the kids have so much fun in the program just makes my day!

Teddy Tennis has been a wonderful addition to our curriculum. With tennis being a life-long sport, I love that the children can be exposed to it at an early age. The fact that it can be taught indoors in our playroom is an added plus. No worries about the weather interrupting classes! The parents have been impressed with what the children are learning. When the children say they cannot wait to get to school because it is Teddy Tennis Day, they know their money is being well spent!
~Toni Turnley, Owner of Kids Count Inc.My 5 year old son absolutely loves Teddy Tennis!!! He adores Coach Ashton and always looks forward to class. They play fun games in a welcoming environment. And, it is convenient because the class is at his preschool!!! I would highly recommend this class for your child!!!~J. Bailey (Christ Covenant Preschool Parent)Teddy Tennis worked a little magic with our son this past fall. We were thrilled at his progress and understanding of beginning technique. Teddy tennis’ approach with the preschoolers is right on target for their age and ability. They bring tennis to where the kids are and spark a love for the game. We are so happy about how much our little guy already loves this ageless sport. We are so grateful for Coach Caroline and her team of coaches who instruct the basics so effectively.~B.
